BACKYARD BODGES

BODGED TO LAST

Go-karts, bikes, scooters and anything else you can ride, powered by petrol engines or electric motors, built and modified in a UK backyard workshop. We film every build step by step, from the first cut to the first ride.

What we build

If you can ride it, it ends up in the workshop. Here's what you'll see on the channel.

Go-karts and drift karts

Homemade go-karts and drift karts from bare tube and scrap parts, plus rebuilds of old karts that deserve a second life.

Minibikes and pit bikes

Small bikes with big ideas: frame mods, engine swaps, better brakes and a lot of testing.

Anything rideable

Scooters, bikes, trikes, quads, e-bikes and whatever we dream up next. If you can sit on it and ride it, it's fair game.

Petrol engines

Strip-downs, rebuilds and tuning on small engines, including a few that haven't run in years.

Electric conversions

Swapping petrol for motors, batteries and controllers, with the wiring explained so you can follow along.

Welding and fabrication

Frames, mounts and brackets made from scratch, cut, welded and ground into shape on camera.

How every build goes

Each project is filmed start to finish, so you can see exactly how it's done and have a go yourself.

  1. Strip it down

Find out what we're working with and what needs fixing, replacing or rethinking.

  2. Fabricate

Cut, weld and shape the frame and parts, measuring twice and grinding once.

  3. Wire it up

Engines, motors, batteries and electrics fitted and tested, one connection at a time.

  4. Ride it

The first start, the first ride and the honest verdict on whether it works.

Some builds go to plan. Some don't. Either way, you'll see it all.

Follow the builds

Full builds go up on YouTube. Quick clips, progress shots and first rides land on social media in between.
